R.A.L.E. Lung Sounds is a computer aided instructional program for students and educators, doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and anyone who uses a stethoscope. Recordings from children and adults demonstrate wheezes, crackles, stridor and other respiratory sounds. Case studies include asthma, bronchiolitis, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, croup, fibrosing alveolitis and other pulmonary diseases. R.A.L.E. provides the opportunity to examine lung sounds in a controlled and reproducible environment. A large number of quiz cases allows self assessment. The program uses any Windows compatible 16-bit sound card. Headphones or Hi-Fi audio speakers are recommended.Platforms supported:Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 98, Windows MEBenefits of registration:Student Edition is licensed to an individual student for a period of one year. Proof of student status (such as a photocopy of your Student Identification Card) must be faxed or mailed to PixSoft Inc. The program can be upgraded to the Professional Edition (no time limit) for the cost difference.
